Welcome to Tru Community, where we believe that every citizen with unique and challenging needs has something special to offer their community. Our variety of programs aim to help our members discover their natural abilities, explore new interests in a fun-filled, supportive environment, and connect with our community. From music and art therapy to social activities and educational programming, our members can learn, grow, and thrive. Our classes are designed to be small so that each Tru member can learn in their own unique way. Our team consists of trained professionals who have a passion for helping those who need support and a commitment to creating a safe environment.

Who We Serve
Tru Community is designed to support 18+ individuals with a broad spectrum of intellectual and developmental disabilities.
What We Offer
Daily Living Skills
Developing essential daily living skills, such as communication, cooking, hygiene, and mobility to ensure our citizen's ability to experience and participate in community living.
Self-advocacy Development
Assisting our citizens in developing self-advocacy skills, and to exercise their choices and responsibility over the services they receive.
Recreation Opportunities
Providing our citizens therapeutic recreation activities including hiking, music, art, exercise, and gardening, to develop their interests and cultivate social connections.
Prevocational Services
Helping our citizens achieve their goals through meaningful work-skill exercises and vocational training, including volunteer work.
Community Outings
Creating opportunities to build community engagement and peer relationships while developing socialization skills.
Christ-centered Devotions
Raising our citizen’s sense of purpose, value, and belonging through optional Bible-based devotions and music.
Lifelong Learning
Our programs aim to support our citizens through physical, educational, and personal development. Program activities include adapted music, art, health, and wellness, and are designed to help our citizens succeed.

About Tru Community
Welcome to our program designed specifically for adults with intellectual, physical, and developmental disabilities. We understand the importance of family-centered care and work closely with families to create personalized plans that meet the unique needs of their loved ones.
Tru Community was founded by parents who recognized the need for services in our area and wanted to change the way people view and interact with adults who have disabilities. It was launched by a group of advocates who felt compelled to help and who share a love for those with unique and challenging needs.
As a nonprofit organization, we aim to address the need for specialized services by providing tailored programs. These personalized programs are designed to foster growth, development, and success among our exceptional population. We strive to enhance their quality of life and provide opportunities for these amazing individuals to share their unique abilities with the community.
